Q – When will we be able to generate solar power?

A – Only in daytime, of course, but even on cloudy or overcast days, enough solar energy will be collected by your Soldustria rooftop installation to generate at least some power.

Q – Does this mean we can go off the grid?

A – One of our rooftop PV installations can typically supply around 25-50% of a building’s power requirements. Solar power will supplement your grid power and displace some of your spend, but cannot replace grid power completely.

Q – Why must we sign 20-year contract?

A – This is to ensure that all parties ultimately benefit from longer-term cost savings, and to help mitigate future grid electricity price rises. A 20-year contract gives you the certainty of knowing your electricity unit costs into the future.

Q – Will our tenants benefit?

A – Your tenants will enjoy the benefits of operating from or living in a greener building and they’ll be better protected against load shedding and increasing grid energy prices. Commercial tenants will have improved green credentials which may help their brand marketing to their customers. As a body corporate or landlord, you can choose to what extent you pass on the energy cost savings to your tenants in the form of reduced levies.
